I was SCAMMED! Facebook Page scam

I wasn't but I did grab your attention! Seriously though, I literally setup a Facebook Page 3 days ago and I received 2 messages (that were identical but with a different destination link) from 2 different people.

My book goes over some of these tell-tale signs and by gosh this scam is 'by the book'.

  1. No coincidence that I created my page 3 days ago and someone reached out. The motive is to reach out to those new creators 'on the scene' to immediately show the authority bias of Facebook Sup team over my newly created Page.

  2. Notice the generic greeting. These, however, can be very personal so heads up.

  3. The call to action - 'To prevent further inquiry' go here scenario.

  4. The 'go here' scenario is the phish site for personal information. That link is tell-tale as well.

  5. Notice the Meta pic as if to truly be representation and the impersonation.

  6. About 6 hours later, I received the same message from another person. facepalm

DON'T FALL FOR THIS! It's the oldest trick in the book and I talk about this in my book that thirty years ago, users were doing this with AOL. LOL!
